Teachers in Scientific Research: How to Plan, Conduct, and Present Research

40 academic hours

The programme is designed for teachers of various subjects who wish to better understand the research process and become more actively involved in educational research. It focuses on developing teachers’ research competencies through participation in an actual study conducted by researchers, rather than on planning research independently. Participants are introduced step by step to the study’s aims, process and methods, principles of data collection, research ethics, data analysis and interpretation of findings. Depending on the nature of the study, teachers may participate in experimental, observational, survey-based, longitudinal or other types of research. This experience helps them better understand the principles of evidence-based education, critically assess research findings, collaborate more effectively with researchers and engage more actively in educational research as part of their professional practice.
