GazeLab: Mobile Eye-Tracking Laboratory

GazeLab uses eye-tracking technologies to investigate learning processes and the impact of educational environments. Data collected and analysed in the laboratory help deepen our understanding of students’ cognitive processes, learning strategies and outcomes.

About the Laboratory

GazeLab is a research laboratory that applies eye-tracking technologies in educational research and practice. It investigates students’ cognitive processes, learning strategies and the impact of educational environments on learning outcomes.

One of its main research areas is the analysis of how educational environments influence learning achievement in mathematics, science and integrated STEAM education. Research explores learning difficulties, attention allocation, information processing and the effectiveness of learning strategies. Using curriculum-aligned assessment instruments and eye-tracking data, the laboratory examines how students understand tasks, interpret visual information, investigate phenomena and solve problems.

The laboratory develops research-based recommendations for educators, educational content developers and education policymakers to improve learning outcomes, enhance the quality of education and strengthen data-informed decision-making in education.
